Man does time fly!!!

I just realize how neglectful I have been to my blog lately!
I promise I am going to start posting at least once a week!

My world has been crazy lately, between school, family, and obligations I barely have time to sleep!
I have been enjoying every moment though!

Clayton and I are doing great! I love being married to such a wonderful man.
Today we decided that our big christmas gift for each other would be to get a home gym. We are going to get into shape!!!!
We went out shopping today to try some out! (Fun fun!)

Super Super Busy!

Man I dont know were to begin. It seems like now that school is in full swing I don't have any time left to do the fun things that I get to do during the summer (like blog!)
Life has been treating me really well though.
I was in a car accident last week and I thank God that I was not hurt (just alitte sore) My car on the other hand didnt make it through quite as well.
It will be in the shop for 6 weeks YUCK! but a car is fixable!
The sad thing is that the night before Clayton and I layed out all of our expenses and figured out that we will be able to have it payed off my March or April! oh well!
On the up side Clayton was able to swich his shift at work for the next six weeks to 7-3, so now we get to wake up together every morning, have breakfast together, and come home from work together! I love it!
Mom and Dad are back from Canada and staying with us. It is so good to have them back home! They are working on their house and it is so exciting to see the progess as it is going up! The sheet rock went in today and man it sure looks like a great house!
It is getting Clayton and I excited about us building a house of our own in the next year!
School is going exreamly well, oh to let you know my projector got fixed and man do I love it! It is sure a valuable tool in my class.
I made it through the first nine weeks! I cant believe that it is just a few more week left until Christmas!!! man does time fly!!!

What a Day!!!

I just don't know where to begin. It has just been one of those days (actually it has been one of those weeks- and it is only Wednesday!!!)

My classes have been going so well this year!
(but I am not going to say that too much because I don't want to jinks it!)
I was so excited to get my new projector in my classroom set up last Friday and I have used it everyday since then. It is so great to be able to show the kids visuals and differnt art websites!
Well yesterday after school the maintence man came by to fix the tile on the ceiling well while he was working on it my lovely, brand new projector got dropped to the ground and broke into several pieces!!!!!
I am hoping and praying that they will be able to find me a new one! but today I was without it and I felt so lost!!!

My art 3 class is working on 10 large scale murals on twin size sheets for the local Journey to Bethlehem project! It is alot of fun but also a lot of work!
When we get them completed I will post some pictures!

Well at least I am home now laying on the couch eating my favorite dessert (brownies!!!) and able to relax!
Clayton is cracking me up!!!!
he found pee wee herman on the TV so now he is laughing like pee wee!
It is so funny because he can do it almost too good!!!!

Homecoming 2009

This had been one busy week!
Homecoming!!!

It has been nothing but door decorating, parades, assemblies, and alumni.

Our poor football boys are still struggling and didn't win the game.

I gave the ACt test for the first time on my own yesterday. and everything went great!
I was sure glad to have today off to do absolutely nothing!






















My Key club was in the parade, we decorated Clayton's truck and let my officers ride in the back and throw candy!

Football Recap!

Cory had a great game they played Millwood. They won 16-6. He is just so cute in his broncho uniform!

Well my Guthrie boys had an upset! Its the first time in a long time that they have lost the season opener. It was a game that they could have won (if they could have just held on to the ball) Oh well there is always next week!

Now the Oklahoma State Cowboy looked great! (I might just get Clayton in Orange!!!)

We had Clayton's cousin and his girlfriend over to watch the OU game. It was alot of fun hanging out with another couple, but i just wish the game was better!

Well tomorrow we have...... guess what! More Football!!!
Clayton is chang ganging for the 9th grade and the JV team.
Football season is sure here!

Are you Ready for some FOOTBALL!!!!!

I love this time of the year! but boy do we stay busy!!!!

Clayton and I are both so excited about football season starting!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!! our saturday is going to consist of 3 football games. Cory has a game at 9:00 am, by the way he won his first game 32-0. Cory was so excited he sacked the quarterback and got the fumble!!!!
OSU is playing their first game of the season at 2:00 and OU is playing after that at 7:00.
We are going to have friends over, have snacks and see how well our new TV and surround sound system work!!!!

My Guthrie boys are having their first game tomorrow night at Bishop McGuinness. It should be a good season for the boys!!

So as you can tell we are staying super busy but we love every minute of it!!!!

Thank goodness Clayton only had the 24 hour bug!!!! He woke up this morning back to his playful self!
We had a good day today. We went to Crest in Edmond because we were down to only one box of macarroni left in the house! lol
We went on our nightly jog (we are up to 2.5 miles!!!)
And now we are just going to have a lazy night. and get ready to go back to work tomorrow!
Cory has his first football game tomorrow night and we are excited to get back into the football season! I will post some pictures later! he is so cute in his football uniform!

A Sick Couple!

Clayton and I had a great evening last night we went and saw a movie and then went and got a steak from OutBack last night! but......
We both woke up this morning not feeling so good.
I have been stuggling with my alergies, I am so sick of blowing my nose and poor Clayton is really sick with the stomach bug (I think) the poor fella is snuggled up in a blanket right now complaining that he is cold, which is not like him at all.
so pleae keep us in your prayers!


I have had a wonderful week at school. I have a feeling that this is going to be a great school year!
I have been working as the Superintendent for the Art Division of the Logan County Fair for the last few days and it has been alot of fun. On Thursday I collected the entries, yesterday they were judged and today I have to be back up there at 4 to have them taken down and collected.
This is the first year that I was able to put in my students work and we had two first place winners and several 3rd-6th places so I am really happy and proud of my kids!

Our Fun Night Out!

Clayton is such a sweet husband!
He surprised me with a fun day out!
He took the day off of work, we slept in, went to the mall-shopping, then went to bricktown, saw an movie and then went to a red hawks game!
It was so great to spend a whole day with him!

We have been doing so good and have not had a pop in over 4 weeks! but we figured we were on a special day-since it also was our 5th month wedding anniversary!, we would splurge and get one. This is what happened! (lol)




I had never had Dipin Dots so we bought us some while at the movie!
They are very interesting! I love them!





Here is us at the Red Hawks game. They won 5-0. with a no hitter!
Clayton and I had the All You Can Eat Seats and man were they worth it!
I had 3 drinks, 5 bags of cotton candy, nachos, a hotdog, and a bag of peanuts!

Our New Toy!

Clayton used his birthday money to buy a home theater surround sound system.
My living room now has 6 speakers and sounds amazing!



We love watching movies so it is great for us!

Papa is in town

Papa got into town on Monday and we all got together and had cake and icecream for his birthday!
It was great to get to see papa and to here all of his stories of his adventures in Canada

It was an fun evening for Clayton and I. We lost our electricity! I was in the shower when everything went dark!
I had a pizza in the oven, that was not done!
Clayton and I dug out our flashlights and put the pizza on the propane grill to finish cooking. We had a great dinner of grilled pizza that night!
Thankfully the lights can back on a few hours later!

We had a storm come through last night, and it was full of noise!
Clayton and I sat outside in our PJs trying to capture lightning on the camera!
It is alot harder than it looks!
After taking 189 pictures, we got 12 pictures that turned out!!!

Mowing the Lawn

Today Clayton and I decided that it was time to mow the lawn. It was getting pretty bad! Clayton got a kick out of watching me try to use the blower!

Going Shopping!

Tisha called me last night and she is going to be in the city today to go shopping for her classroom. She is so excited and nervous! She asked if I would help her out.
so I am meeting her and we are going to work on decorating her classroom. We are going to go to Porches School Supply, and Mardel's. I am glad to help her out, it is fun to think about decorating a new classroom. I went to my class a couple of days ago and it felt like stepping back into my world! Everything is set up and ready to go! Oh with 2 new changes that I am so excited about!! There was a brand new flat screen Dell computer sitting on my desk!!!! (Yeah!!! no more waiting 10 min for an art site to download!!!) as well as a brand new projector mounted to the ceiling!!!!

My Summer Project

This is a coffee table that has been in my family since I was a little baby! I remember crawling on it when I was a child!
It was in really bad condition, mom was going to throw it out, all of the legs were broken, and it need a new finish.
I couldn't stand to see it go so I took it on as a project.
I wish I would have taken before and after pictures.
It started missing all its legs, which I put back on and then resanded the whole thing and gave it a coat of dark paint. I wanted the beautiful carved work to stand out so I buffed it and then gave it a good wood polish.
I love the end result and it is in my living room.
Mom I am keeping your plant alive!
The dollies are my great-great grandma York's. My grandma Beth gave them to me as a wedding gift and I am glad to get a place to display them. They are so beautiful!

Back to the Real World!

Wow! ever since getting back from vacation, my life has consisted of laundry and cleaning!
I am just getting caught up today on everything! Finally!

Clayton had a great birthday! We went to Pizza Hut with his mom, and family and his grandparents (Stones)
Yesterday we went over to the Baker's and Clayton had his tuna casserole, his grandma made special for him!

Clayton has almost survived his first week back at work. Thankfully the weather has been cooler, just 90 degrees

Clayton had a check up with the doctor yesterday and everything came back good!
He is healing well, and everything is back to normal!

Clayton's New Do!

Clayton decided that it was time for a new hair cut, just too hot at home to have long hair! So he let me buzz it!
Its kind of a funny story, after dinner Clayton asked me to buzz it, we got out the trimmers and started, then the trimmmers ran out of batteries as soon as I just took a huge chunk out of the front! (lol)
We had already asked Dustin, Kasie, the girls and Luke over for cake for Clayton's birthday, and of course they were going to be there in an hours time. Which was not enough time to charge the trimmers and get it fixed before they showed up!
We jumped in the car and ran over to his dad's which is thankfully just right down the road! He had some trimmers and we got Clayton buzzed just before our guests arrived!!!

Back Home!!!

We had a wonderful time in Canada! The weather was not as good as we would have liked but that was fine! We are realizing how nice it actually was there now that we are back in the HOT! Oklahoma weather.
We loved getting to see you mom and dad! You mean the world to us and we love yall so much!

Clayton and I went out to Cardinal Lake today and I caught one of the biggest fish I have ever caught up here!
It is 38 inches long and weighs about 19 pounds!

We had a great trip to Canada! It took us 2 day but we arrived there on
Thursday evening.
It is so beautiful up here!
We are enjoying the 74 degree weather! and sitting out on the lake!
We are going to take our first outing in the boat this evening!
Hopefully we all catch some fish!!!

Crazy Vacation Packing!!!

Ahhhhh! I am going crazy! We are leaving tomorrow to go to Canada and I am starting to realize that it takes alot of work, to get ready for a vacation! especially now that I am a married woman! I have to make sure he has everything he needs as well. and making sure it will all fit in the car!!

We are going to Canada to see my parents. They have only been up there for 2 weeks but I am sure glad to get to see them! God blessed me with wonderful parents!

Fourth of July Celebrations

We actually started celebrating the fourth on the third!
We spent all evening out at Clayton's grandparents the Stones. We had a family cook out and did fireworks all evening. We had a great time.

On the fourth we had breakfast at the Bakers. Came home and was lazy all afternoon, we were watching a movie until our electricity went out! (thankfully just for about 45 min!) That evening we went back out to the Bakers and had a wondeful dinner of grilled ribs and brisket! We played card games until about 9:30, when we were leaving we decided to drive around and look at some fireworks. We drove by Clayton's moms house and to our surprise, the firework stand right by their house was putting on an amazing firework show, so we stayed there until after 10:30 watching fireworks with the Miller's.

So as you can see we had a really busy Fourth of July weekend! So we are being absolutly lazy today!

We have just 3 days until our trip to Canada!

My Poor Babe

Clayton had his surgery yesterday. Everything went great! He was in and out in 30 min. The docotor says that he will be sore for about a week and then he should be on the recovery road from there!

He is such a sweetie, I know that he is still in quite a bit of pain, but he still wants to snuggle with me, and keeps telling me how much he loves me.
